Juli Die Ausstellung „Lösungen"von Michael Blank, Intern unter dem Arbeitstitel„Gummi I" geführt, war die erste einer in der zeitlichen Ab folge losen Ausstellungsreihe,die das Material Gummizum Thema hatte. Von 1865 bis 1933 wurden in den Reithofferwerken Gummiwaren aller Art hergestellt. Die Familie Reithoffer war auch wesentlich an der Entwick lung der Kautschukindustrie in Öster reich beteiligt. Diese historischen Aspekte waren auch die Motivation, in der Kunsthalle.tmpSteyr aktuelle künstlerische Arbeiten mit dem Material Gummizu zeigen und damit den lokalen geschichtlichen Aspekt in einen zeitgemäßen Kon text zu stellen. Michael Blank nahm 47 Gummi stränge von je 33 Metern Länge als Ausgangsmaterial für seine Installa tionsanordnung, in der er Arbeiten der vergangenen drei Jahre zeigte. Es entstand dadurch eine Verspannungsstruktur im Raum,in der Skulpturen aus der selbstreflexiven Werkgruppe„Montierte Schatten" und Objekte aus geflochtenen Gummistreifen in eine neue,auf die luftige Raumsituation der Halle orientierte Lösungskonstellation gebracht wurden. The resull was a bracing structure in the hall in which sculplures from Ihe self-reflecting "Assembied Shadows" group of works and objects from interwoven Strips of rubber were brought together in a new constellation of Solutions oriented to the airy spatial context of the hall.
